Synthesis of Learning Module 1 Reading Tasks. Keep working in the same Google Doc we used in class last week. This will enable me to view your revision process. Strive to draw connections among the various sources, showing collectively what they reveal to you (and us) about how climate is discussed in the public sphere. The target length for this draft is 2000 words. Consult resources below for properly integrating and citing sources in this draft.

Note that you must use in-text parenthetical citations (author/authors and page #) for any material that is either quoted or paraphrased (put into your own words). Also note that our program prefers paraphrasing over direct quotes. Any direct quotes should be brief, “sandwiched” with your own commentary, and only included if the wording itself is especially convincing or persuasive.

Continue to revise Learning Module 1 Essay. Again, keep working in the same Google Doc.
This next iteration should be a complete draft of your climate essay (5-6 pages, double spaced – don’t be afraid to delete anything that seems redundant or extraneous from your 2000 word draft). This draft must include in-text parenthetical citations and a works cited for any material that is quoted or paraphrased from another source.
