About Dr. A

Instructor Profile
Dr. A

My name is Dr. Stacey Stanfield Anderson, and I have been teaching at CI since 2005. I am currently an Associate Professor of English, Composition Director, and Faculty Development Coordinator.

I hold a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Humanities, an M.A. in English, and a Ph.D. in English. I have been teaching college writing since 1995. Prior to joining the faculty at CI, I taught at El Camino College, Loyola Marymount University, and Stanford University.

As an educator, I am committed to helping students not only to develop as writers, readers, and researchers but also to cultivate strategies for adapting to and succeeding in the University environment.

I am here to support students at every step of the learning process. I teach courses in which students learn by doing, which requires time, energy, and commitment. The student is in the captain’s seat. I am here to help students navigate the waters ahead.
