The Truth about Quotation Marks
Module Overview: Your final portfolio for ENGL 105 is worth 60% of your course grade. Your portfolio will be evaluated by other members of the composition faculty. Visit the Composition Program page on Holistic Team Scoring for details on how your portfolio will be assessed.
Module Time Frame: Weeks 14 – 17
Writing Task – Final Portfolio: Your portfolio will consist of two final papers, each of which must cite multiple sources (including in-text parenthetical citations and a works cited) using MLA format. Students with late or incomplete portfolios cannot pass ENGL 105 and will not fulfill the first year writing requirement.
Schedule of Due Dates
Week 14: Essays #1 & #2 (Peer Feedback and Assessment)
Week 15: Essays #1 & #2 (Portfolio Review)
Week 16: Final Portfolio Due
Week 17: No Final Exam or Class Meeting (Faculty Score Portfolios)
