Element Overview: Your They Say/I Say Presentation will allow you to teach an important concept from our course text to the class using the digital platform of your choice. The goal of this Course Element is to help you develop presentation skills and while internalizing and applying the ideas presented in They Say / I Say.
Element Time Frame: Weeks 3-13
Speaking Tasks – They Say/I Say Presentation: This will be a 4-6 minute digital presentation using the platform of your choice (Prezi, VoiceThread, YouTube, Screencast, Animated Cartoon, etc.). Your presentation should include relevant examples from course readings, your writing, or the writing of your peers. This must be an original presentation, so do not risk failing the course by plagiarizing one of the many versions you could find on the web. Your presentation should be published on your CI Keys site so that your classmates may view it and learn from you.
Assessment: This Course Element will be evaluated holistically, taking into consideration the quality, thoroughness, and timeliness of your presentation. Successful presentations will effectively incorporate text, audio, visuals, and supporting examples in a manner that is engaging, entertaining, and informative for the target audience (your peers).
