In Class
- Compose In-Class Essay in this folder. (May develop for final portfolio if source integration meets minimum standards for portfolio submission).
- Compose a reflective, source-based essay exploring your experiences in SURF for the past 3 months. Include specific quotes and references to your writings and readings from any of the SURF courses as well as any speakers or presenters from our roundtables, SRI trip, Campus Reading Celebration, etc. Your goal is to create a cohesive, reflective narrative that examines your evolution as a writer, reader, and researcher over the past 3 months and how these have shaped your personal, academic, and professional goals for the remainder of the school year (and beyond).
- Peer review Learning Module 3 Essay (Interrogating Research). Continue to work in this folder. Peer review groups posted here.
- Complete slide for Online Research Roundtable next week. We will review procedures for using VoiceThread. Link will be posted after all slides are uploaded.

Write:
- Polished, Fully Cited, Portfolio-Ready 5-6 Page Draft of Essay #3
- Keep working in this folder.
- Be sure to have in text parenthetical citations (Author Last Name and Page #) for any material in your essay that is directly quoted or paraphrased from another source as well as a Works Cited for all articles.
- Consult this MLA Handbook for citing sources.
Revise:
- 2 Papers you wish to include in final portfolio. Any papers you wish to include must be complete (with in-text citations of all quoted and paraphrased material, works cited, using required readings, etc.) by Week 12 or you will not be permitted to submit a final portfolio. You may continue to refine your essays for the portfolio, but you won’t be able to compose fresh essays that should have been completed in the preceding weeks. We will hold Portfolio Review in class in Week 13.
Post papers you are selecting for the final portfolio here. You will also upload these papers to our CI Learn page.
